Anyone who has ever written a post for a blog– the hairspray part of the title will not sound as odd as it does to the rest of my readers. Yet, I do believe I did capture a measure of my frustration ”coming up with” a tagline in my last post. So, here’s the picture, you’re dressed ready to go, poofed your hair- and/or done the shaky, sexy casual look thing – hair spray is in your hand. You know once you have sprayed, you have to go with that look- so you take a deep breath, ignore the screaming “We need to go, NOW” sounds and SPRAY. That’s it- done- turn away, shoulders back, abs tucked, walk out to the car!I stand before you, shoulders back, abs tucked, i.e title and tagline with hairspray- Yes, I want to go back and fiddle with them, but- I cannot- hairspray, remember. Also, think about it, can you remember the tagline on anyone else’s blog? No- so, just as in life, we get so bogged down, I mean like, call AAA , bogged down that it is impossible to move forward. But I mean, really, how many times can I ask my mother to read that same post? I owe it to her to at least finish the tagline story, right? So- as in life, I press the publish button and step forward.
My next project is the “About” page- This may be a challenge, as I am sure it is for anyone who does not have an agent. I should have had mine write mine before she left for California. I do promise not to fiddle with it too long- although statistics show that is the page most visitors to a website visit and remain longest.
Oh, and the tagline thanks all goes to Chris Brogan. Yes, THAT Chris Brogan. He really does believe getting there is everything.
